I watched an excellent documentary last night called, Still Bill.  It was about the life and times of singer Bill Withers.  He said something in the film that caught my attention.  Here it is:  “It’s okay to head out for wonderful.  But on your way to wonderful your going to have to pass through alright.  When you get to alright, take a good look around and get used to it.”

After hearing that it got me thinking.  I believe a lot of the people today want instant gratification.  They want all the glory but are not willing to do what it takes to achieve the success.  There are no shortcuts to success; however, there are ways to achieve your goals faster.  It is a simple process.  Think positive thoughts, visualize what you want, use a positive vocabulary, and act on your intuition.

With peace and gratitude,
Bill

I just finished watching the DVD “The Future We Will Create: Inside the World of TED.”  What an awesome documentary!  I highly, highly, highly recommend that everyone watch it.  I had never heard of the TED (Technology Entertainment Design) before but what a cool organization.  When you watch it, you will be reinforced about the positive future we will create together.

This conference is truly unique.  It brings in venture capitalist and people with loads of money in the same room with a number of presenters.  Each presenter has 18 minutes to pitch their technology to the group.  Most of the pitches are around how to use technology to make a difference in the world.  I would like to add more about it but do not want to give anything away.  All I can say is that the show was truly inspiring and left me with a very good feeling that there are people helping people everywhere.  Also, the technology was incredible and yet made so much sense.  Take a few minutes to watch this movie.  It is on Showtime this month if you get the chance.

Love, peace, and hope,

Bill
